These ratings and certifications are the ones Carhartt, the garment maker, publishes for style 100235 (checked October 7, 2026). Flame-resistant clothing is designed to resist ignition and to self-extinguish once the source of ignition is removed. It does not make the wearer immune to heat or flame. Always follow your employer’s safety program when choosing protective clothing.
